Presented at the IDEAL Conference in Columbus, Ohio. August 2019. Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Accessibility in Libraries and Archives Most generational workshops make an honest attempt at trying to understand unique experiences through diversity of age. All too often, these talks rely on stereotypes about people that devolve into griping about one particular age group. Infused with humor, this workshop will take both a humorous and serious look at why we make these assumptions and how to use multiple lenses to understand each other rather than relying on stereotypes. With a focus on the workplace, this workshop will also apply to our library users and the communities we live in.
